i’m solarinth… well, that’s the name i use for the internet. solarinth is the name i first used for my half-elven ranger in everquest (the original one) on venril sathir. her whole name was solarinth starblazer, and she was often dressed in midnight blue, dancing in the shadows of a land i no longer remember the name of. solarinth is the name i used for my night elf druid in world of warcraft, too.
i ‘m not sure why i started a blog. i always thought they were kind of dumb, but then i found myself enjoying the read when i read someone else’s blog. heh. so i decided to go the trendy route and do one myself. i’m not very good at remembering to post stuff.
what’s with the title? all the geeks are doing it… just that… i’m a geek and i do what other geeks do. i sit at home, play computer games, chat on the internet, and update my blog. i’m a complete technophile… rawr! i have more online friends than i have real life friends, and if i could, i would make real life friends out of my online friends.
in real life, i’m called amanda, and i live in illinois. i work in a place i hate, and i’m looking for a new job. i’m taking classes through the university of phoenix online to finish my bachelor degree in accounting.
i want to go to the arctic circle and shoot polar bears (tranq– not kill!) to take their blood. as a molecular biologist, i would be qualified to run tests on their blood and see how they are affected by melting sea ice (which is the only place polar bears hunt for food, usually– they have been known to forage on land and hunt humans at times). i could also get a job at a zoo or as a park ranger, which i think beats office work any day.
but since i’m actually going to be an accountant, we’ll have to see how any of that ever fits into my life.
i have a dog, and i drive a ford ranger. i loved my jeep, but i was forced to sell it. i want to get a t-shirt that says jeep girls do it in the mud. i’m a christian. i pray over my food, but i don’t go to church very often. i have short black hair (that’s getting long again) and green eyes that kind of look grey sometimes. i’m fat (less fat now that i’ve been eating better and exercising regularly). i love to read, and i play saxophone and piano.
in my spare time, i read, play video games, and i love being outdoors. i love camping and fishing, and i hope that i never get so old that i can’t do those things anymore. i’m 27, and i’m looking forward to having a ton of fun during the last few years that i’m still “young.”

Medyka will be 60 soon, and as you’ve probably noticed, I’ve got a masochistic side which is evidenced in that I’ve got 3 healers. To be fair, the first two are hybrids. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that hybrid = healer.

I was locked into healing as Calik all through MC, Ony, BWL, etc… then they gave us all innervate and now I am feral (which, if done right, gives alot of intel… i have over 7k mana!) and now I have 950 attack power in cat form and can shred just about anybody if I sneak up correctly.

Oh Gawd would that fight stink (druid fights = 3 hours lol).
If you must stay resto (for your guild, or for whatever reason) why not throw some points into feral to get down to Heart of the Wild for the +20% intel? Thats how I got the unbuffed mana over 7k

well, i quit playing my druid… and i was the least geared out druid, so i was told where to put my talent points… and when they got done with me, i only had 7 left… and i just threw them in resto to be done with it.

gull, you’re just evil! why would you want to kill polar bears? gonna make a polar bear rug and retire to a cave somewhere with a nice cave lady? if you shoot my polar bears, i’m going to come after you. they might chew on my internet connection, but they are still my polar bears and i love them (and i need them to protect me from tom’s evil drop bears).
